The Common Levels of Support Decision Support Tool (CLS-DST) provides the Army Installation Management Agency Senior Executive Leadership (IMA SEL) a tool to support optimal funding decisions for Base Operations Support (BOS) services on Army installations.

OBJECTIVE
BOS services represent the services required to run an Army installation and provide for the needs of the civilian and military population on the installation. These services are defined by the Army Baseline Services and are the same services that are represented in the Army's ISR Services program. The Common Levels of Support process determines the Service Support Programs (SSPs) that make up each BOS service on Army installations.

The Decision Support Tool supports the IMA SEL in deciding which SSPs to fund for each service by: determining SSPs for each service that must be funded; scoring the remaining SSPs and funding as many of these SSPs as possible; and reconciling Bills (SSPs that should be funded) and Bill Payers (SSPs that can be cut and used to pay for other SSPs) from each service.

BACKGROUND
CLS-DST is an R&K Engineering software product developed for the Army's Installation Management Agency. The initial version was developed and tested in FY2004.
