The Marine Corps has awarded a multi-year contract to R&K Engineering, Inc. to design, develop, and field a system to quantify facility requirements at Marine Corps bases world-wide. This process will be based on an analysis of the population and equipment supported, the space planning criteria, and the available facilities. The application will provide Marine Corps facility managers at all levels with an objective tool to validate facility needs, identify facility excesses and/or deficits, and identify, record, and document special facility needs. R&K’s expertise in this area was gained in over two decades of providing similar support to the U.S. Army as the original developer of their Real Property Planning and Analysis System (RPLANS) and their Facility Planning System (FPS).
